CURRENT PROJECT:
DANISH FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
Youth Converts has partnered with Danish Football coaches and Nigerian sport organizations to use football to develop the social responsibility qualities of youth in Nigeria. The target group for this project are youth between the ages of 12 and 18. Three phases of the initiative have been held in Lagos and Abuja Nigeria. Youth Converts is working to make DFDI an annual event to ensure sustainability.

DFDI III Partners

DFDI 1 - 2018 - First Edition
The first edition of DFDI was held in Lagos, Nigeria. 150 athletes were present and significant progress was made in terms of training and social development.

DFDI Women - Third Edition
DFDI included women into its third edition and it was really rewarding to expand the program to women as well. Our beneficiaries expressed their gratitude as programs for women are rarely implemented.

Education and Leadership
Football as a platform for education and social responsibility are key components of DFDI. Through the use of peer mediation, speaker series, and evaluation, DFDI implements and tracks the implementation of these two social components.

Technical Football Development
Coaches at DFDI also work with young athletes that attend our programs to build their technical abilities. The focus is to improve their football fundamentals.

Partnerships and Sustainability
DFDI partners with local youth clubs and academies such as Paul E Academy to ensure the objectives of the program are continually implemented by within communities.
